He is the showman of Bollywood, and so, there’s rightfully been a buzz around Karan Johar after he announced his next film, ‘ Takht ‘. The film director, host and actor says that his new project makes him feel like he’s in his twenties. Set in the Mughal era , the filmmaker say that the it is his favourite part in history. The ensemble cast for the film includes Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh , Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor. He has reportedly described the flm as ‘K3G’ (‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’) set in Mughal era. Karan is excited about working with favourite actress, Kareena Kapoor Khan after ages. Their last film they did together was ‘K3G’ in 2001. The filmmaker is also looking forward to working with Ranveer Singh for the first time as he believes the actor has great energy and adds a positive vibe to anything he does. Calling ‘Takht’ his most ambitious project ever, Karan will also be working on a period film for the first time. He has also not written the script of his film for the first time, it will be done by Sumit Roy with dialogues by Hussain Haidri.
