NEW DELHI: Media shares were trading in the green in Thursday's afternoon session. Shares of Zee Media Corporation Ltd (up 3.92 per cent), Dish TV India (up 3.15 per cent), Inox Leisure (up 2.63 per cent), Zee Entertainment (up 2.52 per cent), Balaji Telefilms (up 2.01 per cent), Network 18 Fincap (up 1.11 per cent), Music Broadcast (up 0.94 per cent), TV Today Network (up 0.78 per cent), DB Corp (up 0.12 per cent) and Jagran Prakashan (up 0.07 per cent) were among the top gainers. The Nifty Media index was trading 0.91 per cent up at 1899.05 around 11:32 am. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 7.25 points at 12133.15 , while the BSE Sensex was up 21.24 points at 41344.24 . Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red. It’s past time it did so, I think, because the traditional incentives haven’t worked. On iOS, developers have to keep up or get left behind. On Android, most users are a year or two (or three!) behind the latest version, so there’s less urgency to keep modern.
