Legal action is being threatened against another person and a media organisation over alleged defamatory statements about Richard Lewis, whose services were contracted by the Board of Education as it relates to the use of his Information Technology textbooks. Lewis is accusing James ‘Tanny’ Rose and ZDK Liberty Radio of tarnishing his character and defaming him through false statements about his work and payments received. The author, who recently accused Prime Minister Gaston Browne of defamation and demanded a public apology, is asking Rose and ZDK to do the same thing – apologise within 14 days or be sued. NJ Attorney General Gurbir Grewal and L.A. City Attorney Sued for Threatening Legal Action Over 3-D Printed Guns
U.S. Guns Cody Wilson, the owner of Defense Distributed, a company that created plans for printing a 3-D gun, filed a lawsuit on Sunday against New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal and Los Angeles City Attorney Michael Feuer for attempting to block the plans from being downloaded. The suit charges Grewal and Feuer with waging “an ideologically-fueled program of intimidation and harassment against Defense Distributed” in an effort to “silence the organization” through criminal and civil tribunals. On Thursday, Grewal sent a cease-and-desist letter to Wilson with the demand that Defense Distributed prevent New Jersey residents from being able to download printable gun computer files. 7 hours ago Djibouti Dubai’s DP World threatened on Thursday to take legal action against China and Djibouti for building an international free trade zone on a terminal disputed with the strategic Horn of Africa nation. The warning came one week after Djibouti launched the first phase of Africa’s biggest free trade zone, developed by China, months after scrapping a concession agreement with Dubai’s global port operator DP World. China, which has the only foreign military base near the Red Sea terminal, is developing and financing the free trade zone as it considers Djibouti an important part of its $1 trillion “Belt and Road” global investment initiative.
