General admission tickets are $35 in advance but $50 at the door. Or consider VIP tickets for $75, says Kristy Taylor, corporate support and community engagement manager at Ozarks Public Television. The event is a food and wine extravaganza. Alcohol representatives and vendors line the conference center and hallway, pouring samples of wine, craft beer, cocktails and spirits. Restaurants are scattered throughout, and people line up for samples of everything from bacon-wrapped dates to trout dips, pasta, spring rolls, sliders, pizza, cheese and crackers, chocolates and more. And it's serving up 10 different kinds of deep-fried, steamed and pan-sauteed dumplings along with bao, or buns, fried rice and other international dishes. Dumpling Darling, a fast-casual dumpling emporium specializing in a wide variety of dumplings from all over the world, opened on Tuesday in the East Village. Drink makers pledge to reduce sugar Share on Facebook Share on twitter Share on Google Plus by Tom McIlroy Australia's biggest soft drink makers have pledged to cut the use of sugars across the industry by 20 per cent by 2025.Faced with long-standing calls for a tax on sugary drinks, industry players including Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Asahi Beverages and Frucor Suntory have signed a new agreement that will apply to all non-alcoholic drinks produced by members of the Australian Beverages Council.Products included in the agreement include soft drinks, energy drinks, sports and electrolyte drinks, frozen products, bottled and packaged water, juices, fruit drinks, cordials, ice teas, coffees and milk products.Some drinks with the highest sugar levels, including Coke, won't be changed as a result of the agreement, with manufacturers instead expected to ramp up low-sugar alternatives and reduce some serving sizes.
