Joey Garrison Nashville Tennessean Published 4:37 PM EST Nov 21, 2018 A Knoxville woman aboard a Southwest plane heading from Nashville to Phoenix forced an emergency landing in Oklahoma City on Saturday after allegedly erupting into a drunken and disorderly fit. After being arrested, Caleena Johnson, 36, later kicked out the rear passenger-side window of a patrol car with both her feet on the way to jail, according to the Oklahoma City Police Department. Johnson, an Oklahoma City police report said, was sitting near the front of Southwest Flight 4933 that originated from Nashville. During the flight, several passengers complained to flight attendants about her behavior, which they said included threatening remarks. Flight attendants asked her to calm down, but Johnson allegedly refused to listen, continued with the verbally abusive remarks and became belligerent. An unruly passenger was arrested after a Southwest Airlines flight landed at Newark Liberty International Airport early Tuesday. While the airline would only say there was a "situation" with a passenger aboard flight 864 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a witness wrote on Twitter the man tried to leave the plane and attacked a flight attendant before being zip-tied. Southwest said in brief statement that an emergency was not declared and that the plane landed safely. "The safety of our employees and our customers is our priority," Southwest said in an email. Flight 1250 departed San Francisco International Airport and was headed to Los Angeles International Airport when the emergency arose, said San Jose International Airport spokeswoman Rosemary Barnes. The aircraft landed safely in San Jose at about 4:10 p.m. and taxied to a gate under its own power, said Barnes, adding that the emergency did not impact operations at the airport. The passenger was turned over to local authorities, the airline said in an emailed statement. The airline said it was working to get the remaining 32 passengers on to other flights. BEIJING: An airplane flying from China to Vietnam turned back to make an emergency landing after cracks appeared in a window, just two weeks after another airliner's cockpit window broke mid-flight in the country, state media said Wednesday. The Beijing Capital Airlines flight bound for Nha Trang in southern Vietnam with 211 people aboard returned to the eastern city of Hangzhou around an hour after take-off on Tuesday, the official Xinhua news agency said. "After an hour of flight, the plane suddenly jolted violently," a passenger surnamed Zhang told state broadcaster CCTV. "An in-flight announcement said the plane was encountering turbulence. A Capital Airlines flight from China to Vietnam was forced to turn around after cracks appeared in a window, Chinese state media reported on Wednesday. Flight JD421 from the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou to Nha Trang on Vietnam's coast turned back one hour into the journey on Tuesday afternoon, the official Xinhua news agency said. Capital Airlines said cracks had appeared in a window but not the windshield as some passengers had claimed, the agency reported, citing a company statement. A video circulating on Chinese social media showed a Capital Airlines staff member telling passengers there were cracks in the windshield.
