NEW DELHI: It has been four days of intense pain for Shaktimaan, now fitted with a temporary prosthetic leg after an amputation. Opinion is divided on whether the horse should be euthanised to end its suffering. Dr Firoz Khambata of Mumbai made Shaktimaan stand, using a temporary prosthetic leg and slings on Thursday night but he is unsure if the solution would work permanently for a horse weighing almost 500 kg. Jamie Won of Maya Foundation from Bhutan has also promised to get the horse a custom-fitted prosthetic leg from the US. However, Dr Manilal Valliyate, Director of Veterinary Affairs at PETA India, expressed concern. "Please do not be fooled. Shaktimaan is not out of danger.
