Polling stations will open for the second time on Thursday May 23 as the country goes to the ballot box to vote in the European elections. The public will decide who they want to represent them as MEPs in the European Parliament. Originally, these elections would not have been our concern, but due to the lengthly delay on Brexit, and now an extension until the end of October, we’ll now have a say in the EU parliamentary polls in voting for which party and its candidates we’d like to represent us. If you are on the electoral register you will have already received a poll card telling you where you should vote. How do I vote? It is the 2019 local council elections and people all across the Liverpool City Region are voting for who they want to be in charge of their local authorities - who will make decisions that affect their everyday lives. It is really important that everyone gets out and fulfills their democratic right to vote - this is your chance to have a say. Votes are being held in every borough of the Liverpool City Region, with hundreds of seats up for grabs across Liverpool, Wirral, Sefton, Knowsley, St Helens and Halton. Congressional voting for citizens living outside of Colombia began on Monday and will continue until Sunday. A total of 214 polling stations have been distributed in 63 countries around the world in order to facilitate congressional voting for expatriate Colombians. Those eligible will have until Sunday 9 to register their vote for both Congress and the Andean Parliament.
