Hanoi (VNA) – Resident Representative of the UN Development Programme (UNDP) in Vietnam Caitlin Wiesen promised to closely coordinate with and contribute to the building and implementation of socio-economic development strategies and plans of Vietnam in a recent interview with the Vietnam News Agency (VNA). During the interview, Wiesen said Vietnam was commended for the significant preparations of all the background documents for the 13th National Party Congress, particularly socio-economic development strategy and the socio-economic development plan. Three Ghaziabad development body supervisors suspended over illegal constructions
GHAZIABAD: Three supervisors of the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) have been suspended for allegedly conniving with builders for illegal constructions, officials said on Monday. Besides, recommendations have been sent to the state government to suspend two junior engineers, they said. Executive engineer Manavendra singh, junior engineers Luv Kesh Kumar and Shiv Om Tyagi have been sacked from the enforcement department and attached with the GDA office, GDA vice chairman Krishna Karunesh told . An inquiry was initiated based on inputs that illegal construction was underway. Investigation revealed that the illegal construction was going on with the connivance of junior engineer Shivam Tyagi and supervisor Anil Tyagi. Uttar Pradesh to levy category-wise development charges
LUCKNOW: The state cabinet on Monday gave its nod to reducing development charges in less developed areas around the cities in Uttar Pradesh.The cabinet modified the development charges clause of the UP urban planning Act of 1973 to decide the developmental charges in the areas coming under the jurisdiction of development authorities. The cabinet also authorised CM Yogi Adityanath, who also holds the charge of housing and urban planning, to take a decision vis-a-vis development charges of different categories of areas coming under the jurisdiction of development authorities. Housing officials said that the development authorities were facing problems in recovering development charges from the projects in the less developed areas having people with low paying capacity.
