An incredible 75% of drivers don't realise their credit score is linked to their car insurance premium, despite new data showing a clear correlation between the two. When asked what they thought affected their car insurance, the most common answers from drivers were no-claims bonus (71%) and age (70%), research from ClearScore has found. People are also aware they can be charged extra if they pay monthly, and have tried to cut down the number of miles they drive for a cheaper quote. But only one person in four thought their credit score could also impact the price they pay, and just one in 11 had tried to improve it to bring their costs down. A driver, Abdulfasasi Alumoko, was on Wednesday arraigned at the Chief Magistrates’ Court, Zuba, Abuja, over alleged reckless driving and killing of a woman in an accident. The prosecution counsel, A.A. Otune, told the court the defendant drove his Toyota Sienna on the Lagos Park in Zuba and knocked-down a motorcyclist with his passenger. He added that one Mrs. Shafaú Abdullahi, the passenger, sustained injuries as a result of the accident and was rushed to Living Rock Hospital Zuba for medical attention. The prosecution alleged that the victim of the accident (Abdullahi) died on November 6 while receiving treatment for the injuries sustained in the accident. A man who was hit by a barrage of bullets in a shooting died in a car crash after trying to drive himself to hospital. 59-year-old Errol Blackwood, was shot a number of times at around 3.30am outside a club in the Jamaica neighborhood of Queens, New York on Monday. A spokesperson for the New York Police Department said the married father of four and grandfather had been rushing to hospital in his car as he was losing blood from the shooting. He was discovered slumped over the wheel by police after managing to make it only a few blocks away from the shooting. But he tragically never made it to hospital after he crashed into two parked cars on the side of the road. A messy driver has been heavily fined after he was pulled over for driving a car brimming with garbage. Queensland Police caught the man, 57, driving on Mount Gravatt Capalaba Road in Brisbane at midday on August 17. The footage released by police showed the old Ford Falcon sedan was loaded with shopping bags, empty cans, water bottles and cardboard boxes.
