Disneyland is closing as California halts gatherings of 250 or more California Gov. Gavin Newsom introduced new guidelines that say all private and public gatherings of 250 people or more should be canceled for the rest of March. Newsom said this didn't apply to casinos, card rooms, theaters or Disneyland "because of the complexity of their unique circumstance," and he added that he'd spoken with former Disney CEO Bob Iger on March 11 and decided the Disney theme parks in Anaheim could remain open.
