Consumer electronics company and tracking app maker Tile, in a letter to the European Commissioner for Competition, has called for anti-trust investigation against Apple. According to a report in Financial Times, the company said that since tech giant Apple has a rival tracking app called Find My App, it is making it difficult for iPhone users to operate Tile products on their smartphones. The California-based company has alleged that Apple selectively disabled features like making changes to location services in iOS 13 for Tile products. The company has urged EU to open an investigation into the matter by assessing the business practices of Cupertino-based tech giant. Tile claims that this actually encourages iPhone users not to switch to always-on location tracking. The workarounds are lengthy and involve “complex settings not easy to find," as per Tile.
