Manuel Pellegrini expects to have Robert Snodgrass available for West Ham’s London derby with Tottenham next weekend despite his withdrawal from the Scotland squad. Snodgrass missed the Nations League defeat to Israel with an ankle injury and has subsequently returned to east London, meaning he will also miss the game against European champions Portugal. Staff at West Ham were aware of the issue and had been in communication with their Scottish counterparts during the international break. Marko Arnautovic scored in Austria’s 1-0 win over Northern Ireland but remains a concern for the Hammers as he manages an injury which has troubled him for the majority of this season. Pellegrini’s side host Spurs at London Stadium on Saturday 20 as they look to bounce back from defeat against Brighton prior to the break. Mauricio Pochettino will again be without a number of key figures, with Jan Vertonghen out until next month.
