Participants at the event, part of the IUCN’s MarPlastics project, included policymakers from ministries, representatives from Vietnamese and international environmental organisations, scientists and environmental campaigners. They discussed policy and knowledge loopholes, sought effective solutions and proposed policies to minimise marine plastic pollution.
