A Newcastle nightclub will get a makeover inspired by a hit 80s TV show this weekend. For one night only on April 28, Madame Koo’s popular Saturday club night Disco Juice will have a Miami Vice theme. Think pastille colours, big hair and big shoulder pads as the Diamond Strip haunt turns back the clock for an evening inspired by the show which made its TV debut in 1984 and was just as famous for its fashions as its storylines. Teasing the night, promoters Loosedays told Chronicle Live: “Bringing you all things Michael Jackson to Culture Club, from Wham! to Madonna and back again throughout the night. “We invite you down this Saturday to join our crazy event, so wear your finest oversized tops, parachute pants, mini skirts and shoulder pad jackets! “We are decorating Madame Koo in those 80s bright colours and filling the venue full of inflatable pink flamingos, guitars, microphones, beach inflatables and palm trees! “There will be a photo board on the night with some 80s props to get your photo taken in this memorable night not to be missed! “Expect the weird and wonderful inflatables you can take home with you, the roof covered in all things you could imagine and maybe not expect!” Music wise you can expect everything from disco to Motown and funk to House, pop to hip hop and everything in between with DJ Aiden Copland on the decks. Enrty is £6 guestlist before midnight and more on the door after.
