A man has been arrested following a stabbing in Ferryhill in the early hours of this morning. Just after 2.09am, a man with several stab wounds flagged down a patrolling police officer and was taken to hospital by ambulance. The 20-year-old local man had suffered stab wounds to the shoulders and chest but police have said his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Shortly after 3.45am, officers made an arrest at an address in the town and detained a man in his mid 20s. A spokesperson said he is helping officers with their enquiries. Detective Inspector Lee Gosling, of Durham Constabulary, said: Anyone with any information about the incident has been asked to ring Durham Constabulary on 101, quoiting the reference 0042 of October 13.
