Around 500 cyclists got on their bikes and pedalled around the region in the annual Tour of North Lincs Sportive. The event took place yesterday and saw participants cover one of three routes. After starting at Central Park in Scunthorpe, riders were given the option of covering 23 miles, 60 miles or 103 miles. The Tour of North Lincs Sportive was hosted by North Lincolnshire Council, Curly’s Athletes and Sportive HQ. It saw riders cover sections of the route used when North Lincolnshire hosted a stage of last year’s Tour of Britain cycle race. After riding out of Scunthorpe, cyclists could choose to take on the Scawby Dash, Horkstow Huzaar or Humber Thunder routes.
