David Cobb Memphis Commercial Appeal Published 10:21 PM EDT Apr 10, 2019 The Grizzlies concluded a tumultuous 2018-19 season in triumphant fashion Wednesday night. Memphis scored a franchise-record 86 points in the first half and raced to a 132-117 win over the Golden State Warriors. Golden State (59-25) finished its regular season by resting starters Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Demarcus Cousins, but played stars Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson in the first half. Even with Durant and Thompson on the floor, the Warriors struggled to keep pace with the lean crew of nine Grizzlies ending the season off the team’s robust injury list. The night after blowing a 22-point lead in a loss at Detroit, Memphis (33-49) scored 45 points in the first quarter — one shy of a franchise record. WHERE DID THEY FINISH? FULL NBA STANDINGS Justin Holiday led the attack with 15 points in the game’s first four minutes and 10 seconds. Then, rookie point guard Jevon Carter got hot — and stayed hot — as the Grizzlies put the finishing touches on their season.
