This was part of the activities to mark the 73rd Vietnamese Martyrs’ and Wounded Soldiers’ Day (July 27). In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, General Cuong and his entourage commemorated and held a moment of silence in memory of fallen troops and Vietnamese heroic mothers who were greatly devoted to and sacrificed their lives for national salvation, reunification, and for the happiness of Vietnamese people. On the occasion, General Cuong visited an exhibition space showcasing images and objects related to Vietnamese heroic mothers, planted ceremonial trees at the Monument dedicated to Vietnamese heroic mothers, and offered incense to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Thu and other fallen troops in Thanh Quyt 2 village in Dien Thang Trung commune, Dien Ban town. The mission also presented a gift to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Tri, aged 96, whose mother was famous Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Thu. Translated by Mai Huong
