CCTV has been released after three elderly relatives were threatened with a screwdriver during a robbery in Trafford. Two women, aged 81 and 82, were at home on Welwyn Close, Urmston, when three men smashed through the door. The victims, along with their 79-year-old male relative, were threatened with a screwdriver before the yobs stole cash and a mobile phone. The three men ran away in the direction of Broadway, before getting in a sliver saloon. The incident happened at about 3.50pm on Thursday, September 20. They victims are still recovering from the shock of the ordeal, a police spokesman said. Detectives have released CCTV footage of three people they want to speak to in connection with the investigation, and are asking anyone who recognises them to get in touch. Police have also released a photo of the silver saloon they are looking for. Det Con Paul Walls, of GMP’s Trafford team, said: “An innocent family were subjected to a terrifying attack in their own home, the place where you should feel safe, and they are still recovering from the shock of this ordeal.
