A search is underway for a Birmingham infant who police say was taken by his mother Monday morning. Jaylen Holiday, 11 months, was last seen Monday at 11:20 a.m. at 4915 Avenue Q. Birmingham police spokesman Sgt. Johnny Williams said Jaylen was taken by his mother during a supervised DHR visit. The mother – 17-year-old Desiree Holiday – jump into a black, four-door, Honda Accord with an OB Enterprise drive off tag. Holiday was last seen wearing red jogging pants, a red, black and white shirt, sandals. She was carrying a and a rose-colored purse and has curly crotchet braids. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Jaylen or Holiday is asked to call Birmingham Police at 205-297-8418.
