Melissa Brown Montgomery Advertiser Published 4:29 PM EDT Sep 10, 2018 A Montgomery man has been indicted in the murder of a 47-year-old man in October 2016. Anthony Obanion, 54, was charged with murder after the death of Clifford Cummings on Nov. 16, several weeks after he was shot on Howard Street. Court documents allege Obanion shot Cummings in the stomach with a handgun. A second, unnamed victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the Oct. 20 shooting. Obanion was originally arrested on two counts of assault, but was arrested again in 2016 on murder charges after Cummings’ death.
