Two men died over the weekend after vehicle crashes in Mobile and Baldwin County. Lawrence Cooper Davis, 63, of Mt. Vernon was struck and killed as he rode his 2016 Honda all-terrain vehicle (ATV) on Red Fox Road in the northern area of Mobile County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA). Davis was hit by a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta. ALEA did not say if a driver was at fault during the collision. The previous day, David Daniel Jr, 54, from Foley, died in hospital after succumbing to injuries he received during a vehicle crash on Sept. 4. Daniel was travelling east on County Road 25, west of Foley, when his 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer left the road and struck a tree. An ALEA report noted that Daniel was not wearing his seat belt at the time.
